Encounter Weekends
Come face to face with God the Father, his son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit and discover the meaning of living in your salvation - body, soul and spirit!
The Youth and Young Adult Network invites all of those who are new to TACF away for a weekend retreat called an encounter weekend. These weekends are amazing in terms of building relationships with people, getting real with God, and allowing Him to meet you where you are at and take you forward into an even fuller experience of what it means to be saved by Jesus.
We have found that God is so good at knowing exactly where each person is at in their life, and providing what they need. This weekend is like giving God an opportunity - as you give Him you time. When a person decides to come, they are deciding to invite God to come closer, meet their needs and take them forward in their walk with Him.
We challenge you to give God the opportunity and see what He will do for you.

Location: A countryside retreat centre within a few hours from Toronto.
Cost: $85 per person (including meals and accomodations for two nights)
Time: Friday 5:30pm - Sunday at 4pm.
Transport: Car pooling. If you are able to drive your vehicle and take some others with you that is very helpful. Anyone requiring a ride pays $10 gas money.

Details: Workbooks and pens will be provided. You will need to pack clothes for the weekend and bring a sleeping bag / linens, and a pillow. Registration includes nightly snacks, breakfast, lunch and dinner on Saturday and breakfast and lunch on Sunday.

Details: Workbooks and pens will be provided. Accommodations are provided via a local hotel with two double beds and room space of 4 people per room. Attendees need to be at TACF Airport (front foyer) by 5:45pm on Friday to complete the registration process. Registration does include nightly snacks and breakfast, lunch and dinner on Saturday.
camping venue
Location: Toronto Airport Christian Fellowship and a countryside campground within a few hours from Toronto.
Cost: $75 per person (including meals and accomodations for one night)
Time: Friday 7:00pm - Sunday at 3pm.
Sessions: Our Friday night session is held at TACF for 7:00pm. Following the session, encounter attendees return home for the evening. Everyone meets at TACF on Saturday morning for 8:30am and carpools to the campground. Sessions begin for 10:30am at the camp.

Details: Workbooks and pens will be provided. You will need to pack clothes for the weekend and bring a sleeping bag and pillow. This is a Camping Encounter, so everyone will be in tents. Tents are not provided, so if you have a tent to share, let us know. Registration includes nightly snacks, lunch and dinner on Saturday and breakfast and lunch on Sunday.
Sponsors
Each person attending the encounter weekend is hooked up with a sponsor. The sponsor is someone who has already done the encounter weekend, and is often a cell leader. The sponsor takes between two and five attendees in their group and leads the group through the various ministry times, is available to talk with, and is basically the support person for each person going on the weekend, so that everyone gets the most out of the weekend. To help cover the cost of taking the sponsors we take an offering at the end of the encounter weekend.

In order to register for a Youth Network Encounter Retreat, you need to fill out our YN Encounter / Re-Encounter Form. Once completed, either fax the form to TACF at 416 674 8465 (and write Attn: Youth Network) with the deposit information completed. Full payment for the Encounter is due on the day of departure. Those under 18 require the signed parent permission section or they will not be able to attend.
