job descriptions
Counselors
As a counselor, your primary role is to build relationship with the campers. The purpose of camp is to create opportunity for the Holy Spirit to draw the campers closer to Father God.
You are directly responsible for the physical and spiritual needs of each camper assigned to you.
Be prepared to do ministry during chapel time. This includes prayer ministry (training will happen prior to camp).
Basically be willing to follow any lead from the front during chapel time.
Your responsibility is with your cabin and your team; to supervise the campers at night in the cabin and also supervise and minister to your team members.
Counselor in Training (CIT)
As a counselor in training, you will have an amazing opportunity to be paired with a counselor and work closely with them in everything they do. You will build relationship with the campers, minister to them with the counselors, and have lots of fun in the team games.
CITs also have many opportunities to work directly with youth who are on the fringes - those youth who many others neglect. We are looking for people with strong leadership potential, a heart to serve (in whatever way necessary), and a teachable spirit.
CITs choose to give this week to the youth of camp and save personal time for after camp is over. We will expect you to be healthy, to enthusiastically participate in every game and activity, to give 100% for the week, to be with your cabin and your team all the time.
Applications
All applications must be submitted via fax (416) 674 8465, or in person to the Youth Network.
No staff member will be released to join camp unless the staff requirements have been completed. Upon acceptance of the application, the Youth Network will contact you using the contact information provided in your application.
