Learn, grow and develop while you train in a real ministry setting.

The internship program is run in conjunction with Partners in Harvest, the association of churches to which Toronto Airport Christian Fellowship is a part. The Intern program has been set up with a two-fold desire; to see School of Ministry graduates continue to grow in their walk with God and in ministry, and to see churches benefit by having graduates come and work with them, bringing what they have learnt and experienced through the school into the church.


Duration

The length of the program is a suggested 6 – 12 months.

What will I do?

The aim is that you get an overall experience in all areas (or as many as possible) of church ministry. At the same time you will serve the church in areas of need such as worship, youth work, teaching, pastoring, administration etc. These areas will depend on the church and what they want an intern for. However, it is not a “job” but a time of training and serving the church.


Mentoring

You will be assigned a mentor; this will either be the pastor or the person with whom you will be working (e.g. a worship leader or youth pastor, etc). The role of the mentor is both to provide hands on training but also to pastor and to disciple. Part of the role of the mentor/pastor will be to do regular bible study or training in personal study and prayer.
Credit towards your TACF Diploma in Ministry
Credit for the internship will be assessed individually.


How do I get started?

In order to keep Graduates better connected, we will be holding annual Intern Fairs (similar to a Job Fair) just before Catch the Fire. The idea is to give an opportunity to meet Pastors from PIH Churches that are looking for Interns to help serve and minister. These Pastors come from a broad range of countries: USA, France, Sweden, Canada to name but a few, and have varying needs.
