Like a packet of Twix has two great chocolate bars that fit in one package, the Youth Network has two unique groups of students from all over the city that make up an amazing Youth Ministry. The Junior High Youth are students in Grades 7-8 and the Senior High Youth are students in Grades 9-12. We get together each week for worship, services, socials and cells. Our vision is to see Youth grow in their personal relationship with God and walk in character, integrity and identity in everyday situations.
We believe that cell groups are the building point for our Youth ministry. A cell group is where youth get together to do three main things: Build relationship, Grow together and Evangelize. Most cells meet up in coffee shops or local restaurants and all of them are open for new people each week. They last from one hour to an hour in a half and are a great mid-week opportunity to build relationships. A cell group has a youth leader who is available to connect you to the rest of the church and teach you how to live life God’s way. You’ve also got people to be friends with, and a place to express yourself and be accepted just as you are. That’s why cells are so powerful, because they’re a place where you can be yourself!
On Friday nights we have our Jr. High Jam which focuses on worship, small groups and hangout. We start by hanging out with the Senior High Youth in the Firehall at 7:00 for some hangout and worship. Then we go to Upper Rooms 5 & 6 for small groups and a room full of games like RockBand, a pool table, foozball and a bunch of amazing leaders who are always there to hang out with us.
On Friday nights we have our Senior High service which focuses on small groups, worship, teaching and hangout. Some nights are different than others, but each one starts with everyone having fun. Whether it's with basketball, the pool table, some video games or just music and food, it's always great to see friends. We have a time of worship together and every week there's a speaker who challenges us in our faith and some weeks we get together in small groups where our small group leaders help us understand what it means to live as Christians and grow our relationship with God everyday.
Every Sunday morning is our all youth service (Grades 7-12) and a great time to catch up with friends, have lots of fun, eat some doughnuts and most of all encounter God. We start off at 10:30am in the Firehall with T.A.S.K. teams (Totally Awesome & Sometimes Krazy) where we work in groups to win challenges and games. We have worship lead by our youth worship teams, time to connect over drinks and doughnuts and a weekly message that works for youth.
